1953
A poem by Phinn Gonzalez.

1953
We are the oppressed
The ones who have no choice
No longer
He is a tyrant
Rebels die until they are
No more
1959
We are the takers
We will remain idle
No longer
He is our savior
Our suffering fades until it becomes
No more
Late 20th century
We are happy
Whatever happens is for the common good
He takes what we made
He will make more
Soon we will be troubled
No longer
Our safety will be in danger
No more
Just give us time to adjust
Now
We are the deserters
He plundered what we had until there was nothing
No longer
We trusted him with our lives
Now we are fed lies until our truths are
No more
No longer true
No longer safe
No longer hopeful
We are no more.
