Nice Weather

A poem written by Appu.

Fingers press into the cold soil,

While the grass softly tickles

under my heels

And tangles into my hair.

Rays of sunshine come to me

Through the gaps between the leaves,

Pressing down warmly

on my skin.

From the corner of my eye

A blur of color sways

in the cool wind, rustling

and creating a soft song.

But it will end in a moment.

Then, I’ll go back to my room

Look at the things I have to do

And face them as I must

But, for now, I’m glad to be here
